Route Sales Representative – UDS
Location: San Diego, CA
Reports To: Distribution Manager

Job Purpose Statement:
The Route Sales Representative provides world class Direct Store Service (DSS) to our customers, through order writing, merchandising, brand representation, and customer service fact-based selling capabilities that result in sales and profit growth.
BASIC Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma / GED equivalent.
- Class “B” CDL meeting DOT requirements or Class B Permit - Must be willing and able to obtain Class B License within 2 weeks of hire date (airbrake endorsement or higher strongly preferred).
- 2 or more years experience in a business environment.
- Successful completion of post offer background checks, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle report.
- Ability to use computer ordering equipment and have basic math skills.
- Ability to work early morning/late night hours.
- Willing to work over 40 hours when required.
- Willing to work any day of the week, weekends and Holidays.
- Ability to work regularly in cold environment (-20 F).
- Ability for frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting required (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to push and/or pull up to 2,000 lbs. using a pallet jack.
- Ability to work safely.
- Read, write and speak English.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
- Provide world class DSS customer service to include delivery, order writing and merchandising.
- Develop business growth and customer relationships with owners, buyers, district managers.
- Achieve distribution penetration targets on new item execution and improved product placements.
- Call on, and execute new accounts within our markets.
- Achievement of route growth targets through effective selling and merchandising.
- Achieve market share growth of brand portfolio.
- Plan and maintain effective inventory levels to meet both the customer and truck needs.
- Participate in customer resets as market growth dictates.
- Maintain safe work environments within Dreyer’s/Edy’s guidelines.
