Jessie Program - San Diego - youth program

Jessie Program is now recruiting Earth Angels (A.K.A. Female Role Models) as Mentors for Girls in Juvenile Detention Facilities! The Jessie Program is an intensive mentoring program for girls ages 15-17 to ensure successful transition (re-entry) to their homes, schools, and communities. Responsibilities are the following: ♦Commit 14-16 hours per month for minimum of one year. ♦ Must be 25 years or older ♦ Build a Relationship with a girl and help her successfully transition back to her home, school, and community. The benefits of the Jessie Program is you get the opportunity to play a key role in breaking the cycle of recidivism and fostering resiliency in a girl's life, meet other Earth Angels as a network of extended family for mentoring girls in San Diego County, and it will increase your understanding of youth culture.
