As Committee Chair, you and your committee will set project goals, procedures and timelines for the Society's outreach in the gay community. We are currently seeking a Committee Chair to coordinate fine arts outreach and events that engage and involve the gay community in San Diego. This position includes a seat on the Society's Advisory Board.

This board discusses and makes recommendations for action that advance the program goals and mission of the Society. It helps determine how the Society can be of most service to San Diego and will craft a strategy and implement and evaluate a plan for success. The Chair position is a one-year, renewable commitment of fifteen (15) hour per week. Candidates for the Board of Directors are primarily drawn from the Advisory Board.

Description of duties:

Creating and implementing a plan for your projects, including organizing volunteers.

Communicating with other committees of the board.

Designing evaluation tools to determine the committee's progress.

The right candidate will have an outgoing and fun personality, be well connected, and be a good organizer. This is a creative leadership position so be ready to be considered an arts leader in your community!
