BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of semiskilled labor cleaning tasks. Incumbent vacuums, sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial type power equipment. Dusts, waxes and polishes furniture. Empties and washes trashcans, cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows using stepladders. Maintains restrooms in a clean, orderly and in sanitary condition. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes laboratories, sinks and toilet bowls. Replaces deodorizes, toilet tissues, hand towels and soap. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be able to use chemicals and cleaning agents safely and properly.
• Must be able to handle and control power equipment and perform maintenance on this equipment.
• Ability to learn Material Safety Data Sheets.
