Benefits Analyst – San Diego

We have an opportunity for a Benefits Analyst to be responsible for assisting in the development, analysis, administration and compliance of all company wide health/welfare and retirement plans.

Responsibilities include processing monthly billing invoices and reconciliation, compiling and analyzing data and preparing reports, timely preparation of all plan required filings, implementation of new benefits programs during annual open enrollment, and ensuring plan compliance with various city, state and federal regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience; CEBS designation or certification in benefit plans preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years multi- state benefits administration experience, with prior experience in the administration of Qualified and Non-Qualified retirement programs.
• HRIS experience with emphasis on benefit technology, specifically PeopleSoft.
• Must be detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize and streamline to build workplace efficiencies.
• Previous experience evaluating and improving processes; Previous experience developing new processes that increase productivity;
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws as they relate to benefits;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must effectively communicate policies and programs to employees at all levels within the organization and communicate with vendors;
• Sound judgment, tact and diplomacy in resolving benefits issues and handling confidential, sensitive information;
• Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal working relationships with both internal and external customers
