Description
Direct hotels overall marketing and strategic planning programs. Facilitate new client development through marketing and efforts. Assist with guest retention via marketing and sales efforts.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for the hotels. Director of Operations to approve Marketing Plan Template before introduction of template to managers. Support and facilitate development and implementation of monthly marketing action plans.
Assist the managers with their annual Hotels Marketing Operations budget; support Regional Director of Sales or Sales Manager(s) with monthly revenue goals.
Supervise mystery call program to ensure adequate calls and results.
Open and close guest room inventories for websites of all hotels.
Prepare inter net contracts for Director of Operations to approve and sign.
Load rates for all inter net sites for all hotels.
Attend and work trade shows for hotel division.
Oversee corporate communications activities including:
Public relations efforts
External vendors and consultants-for printing, inter net contracts etc
Develop and administer marketing database for hotels for email blasts, company business cards, trade show leads, travel agents, and direct mail campaigns which include guest information.
Assist with, attend and support hotels involvement in various sales activities such as grand openings, team building retreats, Chamber of Commerce Mixers, monthly marketing meetings and similar.
Oversee hotels electronic marketing efforts including supervision of Web site design and maintenance. Watch hotels competitors and determine the correct pricing strategy for each hotel. Monitor results weekly and provide additional assistance to those hotels that are not forecasting to make budget.
Maintain and retain good vendor satisfaction via client contacts, phone calls and meetings.
Create flyer's, ad designs and display ads on an as needed basis for hotel managers.
Hotel manager and Director of Operations to approve ad/flyer before printing.
Visit each hotel annually to be able to correctly describe the hotels amenities etc.. when preparing the ads.
Research monthly, on the various search engines to determine if there any any other web sites that the hotels need to be listed on.
Assist hotels monthly with collecting past due account receivables.
Provide creative and/or effective ideas to promote the hotels.
Assist in typing sales contracts if needed and following up on requests for brochures and similar.
Negotiate competitive rates and bids for various printing jobs, contracts and similar.
Degree in marketing is preferred or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Must be able to take initiative, thick skinned and can get the job done.
